Hi, I’m Helen

I'm a fully qualified teacher with a specialism in Art and Design, and a passion for inspiring creativity in young people.

Throughout my time Molescroft Primary School, where I’ve been the Arts Lead for over 10 years, I’m proud to have helped the school achieve the Artsmark Gold Award since 2018. I also run the Enthusiastic Artists Club, after school hours which gives talented children the chance to explore creative ideas beyond the curriculum.

My experience spans teaching visual arts to children, young adults, and trainee teachers. I’ve delivered workshops at the Ferens Art Gallery in Hull, taught on the BEd (Hons) degree at the University of Hull, and currently work as the Art Specialist for Yorkshire Wolds Teacher Training. I'm also a qualified Arts Award Advisor.

I'm excited to bring Art at Heart to budding young artists across the area - nurturing creativity, confidence, and a lifelong love of art.
