In this half day workshop, the children will learn some colour theory.:
What are analogue and complimentary colours?
Where are they seen?
What affects do these colour combinations create?
The workshop theme will be exploring nature in Autumn. The children will use watercolour paints to explore the complimentary colours around us at this time of year. This focus on colour, shape and light will lead them to produce their own Silk Paintings.
Skills and techniques for Silk Painting will be taught and the children will apply these to create a unique piece of artwork on silk, producing a kaleidoscope of Autumn.
Children will apply taught skills and techniques to enable them to produce creative, expressive images of Autumn.
